Founded in 1987 by actor and director Markus Zohner, the company tours all over the world.
Based in Switzerland, the MARKUS
ZOHNER THEATER COMPAGNIE has participated in International Theatre
Projects all over Europe, as well as in Africa, Asia, South America and
in the United States.
Worldwide award-winning theatre at the highest level, innovative,
avant-garde. New forms of expression and the fusion of imagination,
body, voice and language exceed the limits, opening up new paths to the
essence theatre is made of: the imagination of the audience.

MARKUS ZOHNER THEATER COMPAGNIE's first production was "PALPITATION"-
followed by many other productions, such as Stravinsky’s "The Soldier’s
Tale", "SHEHERAZADE- Erotical and Comical Stories of the Book of 1001
Nights", "HA!HAmlet" and now "ODYSSEY".
One essential element in the work of the MARKUS ZOHNER THEATER
COMPAGNIE is the search for the intertwining between the tragic and
comical aspects of theatre, trying to illuminate the otherwise
invisible areas of human nature.
Besides touring, producing and directing, the company offers master
classes for professional actors on "The Creativity of the Actor".
The Company organizes every year the MARKUS ZOHNER THEATRE ACADEMY,
with theatre workshops held by the most brilliant teachers from all
over the world.
